Prosthetics
Orthopedic dentistry (prosthetics) – a section of dentistry aimed at restoring the integrity of a previously lost or damaged dental raw or part of it, as well as the restoration of an individual tooth or group of teeth. Prosthetics are removable and non-removable. Non-removable prosthetics include restoration with bridges, crowns, half crowns, veneers. We use such materials as: ceramics, zirconium oxide, press ceramics (E-max). To obtain the highest quality and long-term results, we use the planning of the future size and shape of the teeth using 3d modeling (wax up). The prototype of future teeth is transferred to the oral cavity for testing. The patient makes all possible adjustments. After that we make a permanent construction.
Nowadays, aesthetic dentistry has become very popular. With the help of veneers, a “Hollywood” smile could be created by dentists. Advantages of veneers are in high aesthetics and minimal preparation of teeth. Our clinic works closely with the dental laboratory R-dental lab, which is equipped with modern equipment for the manufacture of structures made of zirconium (katana) on a Roland dwx-52d milling cutter and lithium disilicate (E.max) for Ivoclar Vivadent press. The accuracy of the work is controlled by a microscope. The works are performed using the Artex Girbach articulation system.
Surgical dentistry
The section of surgical dentistry is related to the intervention on the hard and soft tissues in the oral cavity. It includes:
- surgery to remove a tooth when the treatment of the tooth is not effective or the teeth are placed in the wrong position (wisdom teeth)
- dental surgery-operations to remove part of the tooth, root or tooth apex for further tooth function
- operations to restore bone and gum tissue
- treatment of inflammation desies which arising from teeth or gums
- soft tissue surgery, gum plastic in the area of teeth or implants, plastic fraenum of lips or tongue. Removal of benign tumors of the mucous membrane.
Surgical dentistry include dental implantation
Therapeutic dentistry
Therapeutic dentistry deals with the treatment of carious (tooth decay) and non-carious dental lesions and complications of these processes such as pulpitis and periodontitis.
If the patient in the frontal area has a change in the color or shape of the tooth, then this problem can be resolved by restoration. Using modern composite materials, you can restore the color and shape of the tooth to the maximum natural view.
One of the complications of caries is inflammation of the tooth pulp (nerve), which requires endodontic treatment. In such cases, the removal of the pulp from the tooth cavity and filling this place with a sealer and filler.
Periodontology
Section of dentistry responsible for the treatment of periodontal (tissues that surround the tooth)
Signs that can indicate possible gum disease (periodontitis) are inflammation, redness, bad breath, swelling and bleeding of the gums, uncovering the neck of the tooth, its mobility.
Unfortunately, it is a very common disease. So many people find out about their problem in dental chair, when the visit was for a completely different reason.
The most common local cause of periodontitis is wrong or irregular oral care. An infection present in the oral cavity in the form of biofilm (plaque) which is soft and easily cleared at the initial stages of the disease, but over time, this plaque mineralizes and becomes a hard dental stone (tartar) that may be appear above the gum level or below the gum.
Periodontitis treatment is carried out in several stages:
- X-ray diagnostic is the main component of any treatment. It is performed to determine the depth of the lesion, the condition of the bone tissue and the localization of tartar. And also for inspection of all teeth as a whole.
- Professional oral hygiene – involves the removal of all dental deposits in order to eliminate physical obstacles that do not allow the gums to tightly cover the teeth.
- Drug treatment – local use of antiseptic, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory drugs.
4) Surgical treatment.
When the inflammation is deeply spread to the bone tissue, there is a need for surgery. Such manipulations involve removal of tartar from hard-to-reach areas (gum curettage), flap surgery, and the like.
Orthodontic dentistry
The main goal of orthodontic dentistry is diagnostics and treatment of wrong bite and different pathologies of dental row. Bite pathology usually is regarded as a problem which reduces the attractiveness of a smile. But the outcome of such problem could be more global. The point is that the wrong bite makes racking load on teeth during the process of chewing, what with age could lead to the periodontitis, it increases mobility of teeth, could be the reason of pain in chewing muscles, even the head ache. Of course bite pathology also causes the cosmetic problems: face profile changes, unattractive smile, progressing deformations of dental row.
Bite shaping it’s a long term process, but the first problems could appear in early childhood. Early diagnostics of wrong bite in childhood provides more effective and convenient treatment with the best quality result. Orthodontic treatment is generally based on using different kinds of apparats. The kind of apparat and terms of wearing it depends on the age of a patient and a kind of pathology. Orthodontic treatment is generally a long term process but the result is worth it.
